D’s Keys Piano Studio

D’s Keys is a private, in-home piano studio located near the Brier Creek area where northwest Raleigh meets southeast Durham.

Weekly lessons are available for beginning through intermediate level students and include well-rounded instruction in technique, repertoire, musical expression, theory, sight-reading, lead sheets, and performance. Lessons also include an annual public recital, as well as spring and fall student piano parties (musical games, activities, and performances).

Lessons are taught by Debbie Dodson (Ms. D), who specializes in working with beginners. She believes that the early stages of learning are the most important because the foundations built at the start shape how music becomes part of a student’s life for years to come.

Ms. D has a lifelong love of the performing arts, with training in voice, piano, guitar, acting, and directing theater. She has participated in, taught, and directed a wide range of music and performance activities over the years, including piano instruction, vocal soloists and groups, musical and dramatic theater, and church music teams.

With more than a decade of piano teaching experience, she has guided the musical development of many students.

Lesson Rates

Private piano lessons are taught weekly in person; tuition is billed monthly.

    For advancing students
    $280 / month ($70 per weekly lesson)

Please note:
All students are required to have a practice instrument before beginning lessons.

20% of children take piano lessons.
